  1. This competition is organised by Schoonbee Marketing (Pty) Ltd (“the Organisers”) and is open to all South African citizens residing in the Republic of South Africa (a valid South African identity document is required), except directors, members, business partners, employees, sales agents, advertising agency staff and the immediate family members of all the aforesaid (including, but not limited to spouses, life partners, parents, children and siblings).
  2. The competition is promoted through the Facebook accounts and Instagram accounts of Schoonbee Landgoed and Lighthouse Café and Guesthouse.
  3. You agree that these rules will apply to you when you enter the competition.
  4. The competition details are as follows:
    1. There is no entry fee necessary to enter this competition.
    2. To enter the competition, entrants need to shop online at schoonbee.co.za/shop and will receive 10 competition entries for every R100 spent from 12 April to 30 June 2022.
    3. Entrants can receive bonus entries (after shopping online) by:
      1. liking the Facebook page of Schoonbee Landgoed
      2. liking the Facebook page of Lighthouse Café and Guesthouse
      3. following the Instagram account of Schoonbee Landgoed
      4. following the Instagram account of Lighthouse Café and Guesthouse
      5. liking, sharing, tagging and commenting on the social media posts posted on the abovementioned social media platforms
      6. signing up for the Schoonbee Landgoed newsletter.
  1. Multiple entries are permissible for the duration of the competition. The competition runs from 12 April 2022 and the closing time and date is 23:59 pm on 30 June 2022. After this date and time, no further entries to the competition will be accepted.
  2. By entering this competition, you are not guaranteed to win a prize but merely stand a chance to win a prize. There will be three winners with three different prizes. The winners’ names will be revealed in a social media post in the first week of July 2022.
  3. The first prize is an exclusive farm experience for a family of four at Schoonbee Landgoed including two nights at Lighthouse Café and Guesthouse in the Loskop Valley. Included in the first prize is a surprise box with a variety of fresh farm products. The second and third prizes are also a surprise box with a variety of fresh farm products delivered to the addresses of the second and third prize winners.
  4. The Organisers are not responsible for inaccurate prize details supplied to any entrant by any third party connected with this competition.
  5. The prizes are as stated, and no cash or other alternatives will be offered.
  6. Winners will be chosen by a random draw from all entries received and verified by the Organisers and/or their agents.
  7. The winners will be notified via social media and/or email and will be contacted within seven days of the closing date. If the winners cannot be contacted or if they do not claim their prizes within seven days of notification, the Organisers reserve the right to withdraw the relevant prize from the particular winner and draw a replacement winner.
  8. The first prize winner will be required to use the prize by not later than the weekend before 21 August 2022. The prize will be utilised over a weekend and the winner and his family (not more than four people in total) will be required to arrive at Schoonbee Landgoed with their own transport by no later than 09:00 am on a Friday to fully make use of the prize. In this regard, please note that Groblersdal is about two hours from Gauteng. Transport between Schoonbee Landgoed and Lighthouse Café and Guesthouse will be at the cost of the winner.
  9. All entries must be received before the closing time of the competition specified above. Please note that you enter through an electronic platform and although the Organisers will take all reasonable steps, we will not be liable for any technical problems or any lost, delayed, or incorrectly received entries through electronic platforms.
  10. The Organisers reserve the right to cancel or amend the competition and these terms and conditions without notice in the event of a catastrophe, war, civil or military disturbance, act of God (any circumstances beyond the Organisers’ control) or any actual or anticipated breach of any applicable law or regulation or any other event outside of the Organisers’ control. The Organisers will notify any changes to the competition to entrants as soon as possible.
  11. The Organisers reserve the right, at any time, to verify the validity of entries and to disqualify an entrant who submits an entry that is not in accordance with these terms and conditions of entry or who tampers with the entry process or who is in breach of these terms and conditions. Failure by the Organisers to enforce any of their rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights.
  12. The Organisers shall have the right, at their sole discretion and at any time, to change or modify these terms and conditions, such change shall be effective immediately upon posting.
  13. By entering into this competition, all entrants and the winners agree to indemnify the Organisers, their associated companies and employees, directors, members, partners, agents, suppliers and/or consultants against any costs, damages, liability, penalties or claims of any nature whatsoever arising out of, and their participation in the competition.
  14. A parent or legal guardian in entering this competition and/or using any prize should duly assist any person who has not yet attained the age of eighteen (18).
  15. By entering the competition all entrants and the prize winners agree to be bound by the terms and conditions of the competition, which will be interpreted by the Organisers in their sole, absolute and unfettered discretion.
  16. The winners agree to use and accept the prizes at their own risk.
  17. The Organisers will not cover travel costs associated with the prizes, or any extras relevant to the prizes.
  18. South African law will govern the competition and these terms and conditions, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of South Africa.
  19. The winners agree to the use of their name and image in any publicity material, as well as their entries. Specifically, the first prize winner and his/her family agree to be photographed and recorded by a cinematographic camera for marketing purposes, including social media. Any personal data relating to the winners or any other entrants will be used solely in accordance with current South African data protection legislation and will not be disclosed to a third party without the entrant’s prior consent. The nature of the information, which will be requested, will be the winners’ names, phone numbers and email addresses. Such information will only be kept for the duration of the competition and not longer than three months thereafter.
  20. The Organisers’ decision as to those able to take part and selection of the winners is final. No correspondence relating to the competition will be entered into.
