Schoonbee Landgoed began pressing and bottling Orange, Mandarin and Lemon Juice in early 2021 as an initiative to reduce food waste. Today, our offering of pure cold-pressed juices includes a wide variety of flavours and sizes, from 100ml health shots to family-size 5 litre bottles. There is a Schoonbee Landgoed juice for every person and any occasion.

Enjoy fresh juice year round

Thanks to innovative high-pressure processing (HPP) technology used to ensure food safety, you can enjoy the taste and benefits of freshly-pressed juice year-round.

HPP is a heatless preservation method whereby the packaged bottles of fresh juice are submerged in pressurised cold water. The extreme pressure (6000 BAR for 2 minutes) that is applied deactivates harmful bacteria resulting in a product that is completely food safe with a significantly extended shelf life – up to 90 days when refrigerated below 5 degrees.

Pasteurisation is a common process to preserve juice, but it requires heating the juice which has an impact on the taste. However, HPP does not damage the active enzymes and nutritional contents as the juice is never heated. Each bottle of pure juice retains all of the taste, colour and nutritional value of freshly squeezed juice with no added preservatives or sugar.

A juice for every occasion

Schoonbee Landgoed extended our Pure Juice range in 2022 with the introduction of Pure Pomegranate Juice and Pomegranate & Mandarin Juice. The jewel-like seeds of pomegranates contain a treasure trove of nutrients which we’ve harnessed in these exciting products. Rich in antioxidants and anti-inflammatory compounds, pomegranates benefit your cardiovascular system by preventing artery walls from thickening and reducing the buildup of cholesterol. Pomegranates are also a great source of nutrients such as the antioxidant vitamin E, vitamin K (which is essential for blood clotting) and magnesium (which helps manage blood pressure and glucose levels.)

The next flavour added to our family of Pure Juices was a truly unique citrus juice: Sweet Grapefruit Juice. Cold-pressed from Jackson grapefruit, a lekker local white grapefruit cultivar discovered during the 1970s in South Africa, our Sweet Grapefruit Juice is naturally sweet with a hint of tropical lime.

Schoonbee Landgoed added three new citrus-based health shots to our Pure Juice range in 2023. Not only do they support your wellbeing, they also support our goal of Zero Food Waste by finding a purpose for fresh produce that is not so pretty on the outside but perfectly delicious on the inside.

The Sunny Citrus Energizer is deliciously combines the benefits of mandarin juice, strawberry juice and ginger. The Zesty Citrus Shot is a tangy blend of apple juice, lemon juice and ginger. The Tangy Citrus Elixir boosts you with the goodness of orange juice, carrot juice, turmeric powder and cayenne pepper.
